Blank Slate Communications is our creative family’s LLC. We offer design, editing, and some marketing services to authors, and several of our books are published under the Layla Dog Press imprint, hence the doggie icon. Sadly, Layla has journeyed over the rainbow bridge, but we still love her and think about her every day!

design
I’ve designed over 150 book covers and have done at least that many interior layouts. You can see many of the covers I’ve created by visiting Amphorae Publishing Group. Amphorae is a traditional small press founded in 2014, and I’ve been principal editor and designer since the beginning.
Also we’ve designed marketing collateral and online ads, including for social media campaigns and BookBub promotions.

The Makansi crew has well over twenty years of experience writing and editing fiction and non-fiction, and we offer both developmental and line editing.
Note: we are not proofreaders.
marketing support
BSC provides both traditional and self-published authors with design and campaign advertising and marketing support. Our team has years of experience in social media marketing/advertising across platforms, including Amazon ad campaigns.
